Video Reviewer

André Nordstrand has been a contributor to The Dice Tower since 2015. Before that, he ran - and continues to run - his own video review series in Norwegian, since 2012. This means that each review you see on The Dice Tower from André, will also exist in Norwegian.

Almost since birth, André has always had an interest in gaming, gadgets and technology. Today he is a full time programmer developing computer software and phone applications. He was an avid video gamer, but after the discovery of modern board games, the focus quickly went from digital to analog.

You will often see the name "Takras" in relations with André. When the video game Counter Strike was at its peak, in the days of internet cafes, when user handles was important, one of his favorite video games was Wing Commander. In this, he took the name Thrakhath for use in gaming. No one could pronounce this, and one day an opponent said Takras, which is a Norwegian word for "snow falling from roof". That name stuck to this day.

Today he lives in Stavanger, in the beautiful country of Norway, and occationaly he takes a board game with him on a hiking trip to the mountains, to review a game there, sharing the sights with you.

Some of his favorite games include, but are not limited to, Scythe, Battlestar Galactica, Mansions of Madness, Alien Frontiers and Mechs vs. Minions.
