Gaming has always appealed to Barry as his family would meet every sunday for lunch and card games. The 54 card deck contained many forms of fun and generated a different environment within the family. A wonderful, gigglesome, light, friendly environment. His life turned around on one shopping trip, in his local town, a Games Workshop shoved a copy of HeroQuest in his pocket and took the money that had been hiding there. Imagination and adventure were the great escape from the mundane and regular game days became a highlight of his life. Many house moves meant that the game went into storage and stayed there for a long while. Gaming then came to a standstill. (Shall we blame the Playstation?)
With another house move and the invention of the internet, Barry opened a carton containing his beloved game. He hoped to searching the web and find new expansions and mission, only to find nothing but a whole new world of games, courtesy of the Dice Tower. And now he is part of that ever expanding network, learning about and teaching others about the wonderful, gigglesome, light, friendly environment that comes from board gaming.

Barry is not the sharpest tool in the Dice Tower box, but he is probably the craziest. (Board games shouldn't contain sharp tools, anyhow.) Reviewing and enjoying board games of every genre. Thematic to abstract, children's to adult, euro to #$*&trash. Originally from the south of England, he has relocated to the north of France to enjoy the finer aspects of life. Food and drink. And he has also discovered the french passion of board gaming. Oh-la-la!

He is also a full time family man, part time wine grower, some times clown and part time musician. Going by the band name of “The Balance Of Power,” he has composed, not only music for his videos, but also two CD. “Come back/Your friend,” and “Ominous.” With two more CD's in the works (one a soundtrack for board gaming) and the occasional concert, he is living his dream.

I asked the makes of this video, Barry Doublet, if I could post it on our channel because I found this hilarious.

He correctly pegs all my mistakes when I do videos. I laughed and laughed.
