Thanksgiving is over, and we are thankful that we had a great time at Pax Unplugged. We have my friend Randy join us to talk about all the different aspects of Pax that we took part in. Excuse any sound issues, we had some scheduling difficulties in getting this episode out.
Next week you are getting a full episode, but between Thanksgiving and Pax Unplugged, this promised mini-episode got delayed! So here it is, Philip and I talking about a couple of new RPG products that are available for D&D 5th Edition and Numenera.
Sooooo many games! We talk about the 1st annual Dirtbags Invitational, I went to FFG headquarters in Minnesota for the L5R World Championship, and I played Twilight Imperium III! Don't worry, Collin and Cindy have plenty to talk about as well! Then, Cindy treats us to an awesome new game show!
More great stuff this week, as Collin and I talk about us playing Terraforming Mars with the Broken Token Insert and how that impacted the game. Collin and Cindy also go into Ghosts Love Candy from Steve Jackson games, and we all talk about some new digital versions of games that we've had the experience of trying out. Plus, we round out the episode with THE RANK IS RIGHT!
This week, we try something new as Chris decides to scare away listeners by telling jokes. Then, for those still remaining, we talk about a bunch of games and then play THE RANK IS RIGHT!
Star Wars Destiny is a card & dice game from Fantasy Flight Games. In this episode, Chris and Philip take a look at the 2 player starter set and try out the game for themselves.
SORRY FOR THE LATE PODCAST! Getting back from Gen Con took a lot out of me and it took me awhile to get back into the swing of things. In this episode, I recap my Gen Con adventures, we make fun of some kickstarter videos, and then we do a comparison of Flick Em Up and the brand new Flick Em Up Dead of Winter.
It's a week early, but I wanted you all to have time to listen to this extra special episode prior to GEN CON 2017!!!! Like last year, we brought on Jeremy from the Blue Peg Pink Peg podcast to talk about all the potentially hidden gems that you might find at this year's convention. Want to find me at Gen Con! Make sure you follow me on twitter (@ChrisTheProf) to see what I'm up to.
A lot of different stuff this week, as we talk about Roll Player from Thunderworks Games, the rest of the crew joins me for an interview with Isaac Vega from Plaid Hat Games, and the premiere of a new segment. Let us know if you like it!
Kick...stop, Just stop!
