In this episode, Philip and Collin are back to talk about some recent news items, such as Fantasy Flight Games and Games Workshop parting ways. We also talk about some Kickstarters that we've found, and end the episode by reviewing the fun dexterity game Ice Cool by Brain Games
This week, I grabbed my friend Philip and we sit down to talk about our experiences this year at Gen Con! Lots of talk about the games we played (or didn't get a chance to play), the panels we saw, and the things that we saw. What was the coolest thing you saw (or wanted to see) at Gen Con? Next year, should we do a game to play in, or a panel where you can watch us play something crazy?
ITS GEN CON WEEK! Come find me at the convention - I'll be posting up pics and status updates on what I'm doing on my twitter (@ChrisTheProf). For this special episode, I brought on Patrick and Jeremy from the Blue Peg Pink Peg podcast (bluepegpinkpeg.com) to talk about their show and then to discuss some games at Gen Con that we consider to be "Hidden Gems".
Sorry for the weirdness of episodes recently, but I couldn't wait until next week to bring you this interview! I got the chance to talk with Monte Cook of Monte Cook Games! We talk about his gaming history, some of the inspirations behind his games, and where he sees gaming going in the future.
On a previous episode, I mentioned the kickstarter for the RPG Red Markets, which is a game of economic horror. On today's episode, I sat down with the creator, Caleb Stokes, to talk about the game. NOTE - Red Markets only has a few hours left on kickstarter, so make sure to jump on it quickly if interested!
On this episode, I sit down with Henry Jasper from Grublin Games to talk about their heist game on Kickstarter; Perfect Crime. In the game, players play as the robbers trying to plan the heist, while one player plays the bank trying to keep everyone out!
On this episode, I bring on 2 of my friends, Collin & Philip, to discuss what's got our attention currently in gaming, Kickstarters we are interested in, and we review Pandemic Legacy: Season 1. Our review is split into 2 parts: a spoiler free and then a full on spoilers version. The spoilers version is at the end of the episode, so feel free to cut off the episode to not be spoiled.
On this episode, I sit down with Eric Vogel, who is the designer of The Dresden Files Cooperative Card Game (on kickstarter now!). He talks about the development of the game, in addition to his gaming background. If you enjoy the episode, go back the game and let Evil Hat Productions know you heard about the game here!
