Dexter Robinson, a high school student and Bart Brunscheen, a police Sergeant (Chief) met at South East High School, in Wichita, Kansas when Bart approached the school staff with a proposal to bring Euro games into the classroom. The AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) club was interested and with assistance from fellow police officers and members of the Wichita Area Boardgamers, gaming bliss was achieved. On the first day of gaming Dexter found his way to a table with Ticket to Ride and at game completion, proclaimed “this is my game”. The second time Chief and Dexter met with AVID for gaming, Dex declared that he liked the game so much he got on line, did some research, found out he could by the game locally, bought it and had started playing with his family. Dex quickly became an instructor for his fellow classmates and his love of games began to grow. Knowing how big the world of board gaming is Chief thought it might be fun to document Dexter’s forward progress in a podcast and was graciously accepted by the Dice Tower.
