Jon Crumpler

I am relatively new to the board game scene, having picked up board games as a replacement hobby for a fierce World of Warcraft addiction in May 2007. I started out playing Catan by a friend's recommendation, and then moved through a couple gateway games until I decided to pick up some podcasts on board gaming to help expand my understanding of the hobby. After trying out a couple I found that The Dice Tower made for a great listen and my wallet has been hurting ever since! The Dice Tower almost operates like a guided tour of my FLGS and every other week I'm standing in one of the two awesome board game shops in Berkeley, latest recommendation in one hand and a worn debit card in the other.

I am proud member of the Berkeley Board Gamers http://boardgames.meetup.com/407/ and have conducted a bi-weekly game of Twilight Imperium 3 with my coworkers at UC Berkeley for about 6 months. My other hobbies are playing and talking about all types of video games (XBOX gamertag – Ticticchilitic), reading free comic trades at Barnes and Nobles, and collecting Vinyl recordings of Bossa Nova and cheesy 80's pop.

Jon puts together the enhanced version of the podcast.
