I was born in San Antonio, Texas, in May 1974.  My father was an officer in the US Air Force, so the family did a lot of moving around, including a 4-year tour in Bitburg, Germany (I envy Morritz for the virtual paradise in which he lives…).  I graduated from high school in 1992, and from college in 2001.  I met my wife at college, and we were married in 1997.  We have 2 sons, and 1 daughter.    We live in Uijongbu, South Korea, as a missionary family with the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS).  I teach basic computer skills to grades K-12, and Speech/Debate to grades 9-12.

I have always enjoyed playing games of different varieties.  I like dexterity games, but they bore me after a while.  Eurogames are usually fun, but sometimes seem to sacrifice common sense for the sake of the game in their rules.  Wargames are also fun to me, but can be somewhat tedious, and one can get bogged down in trying to understand the rules rather than enjoying the game.  CCGs have probably been the most fun for me over the years…and the most frustrating at times.  They are easy to teach comparatively, and are extremely versatile and mobile.  Cooperative games are rapidly becoming my favorite pass-time.  I simply enjoy the camaraderie, and the sense of accomplishment the group can experience at the end of the game, having won or lost…together.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to our show, and I hope that we can continue to entertain and inform you in the future.
