Dice Tower Network Podcast: Board Gamers Anonymous

Board Gamers Anonymous is an audio podcast about the tabletop hobby, covering card games, board games, and miniature games and the insane fun we have at the table together. Every two weeks BGA's hosts cover which games are triggering their acquisition disorders, what's been hitting the table, and whether the biggest new release is a buy, a play, or a dodge. The BGA crew strives to talk not only about what makes a game good, but the experiences that these games can give us and why they keep us coming back. As always, we have a seat saved just for you, so join us!

Chris is flying solo this week with Anthony out of town at a (non board game?!) conference. But the show must go on and Chris brings the good with reviews of four games, including three hot recent releases, a new top 10 list, and double duty on acquisition disorders.

To kick things off, Chris looks at answers to the question of the week, What's your favorite medium/heavy euro at a two player count? A question that quickly segues into the full feature.

It's easy to get caught up in the cult of the new. So easy in fact, that we got caught up in the rerelease of an older game! Thank goodness, though, because Brass (a game Chris and Anthony both missed out on), is amazing. Which is why this week's episode is full of all things Brass.

To kick things of, we ask our question of the week: Are there any board game franchises for which you will buy just about anything released? Even if you don't play it very often?

This time of year is full of gaming with the kids. School hasn't quite started but the summer has slowed down, plus lots of new games from cons to get to the table. So this week we're looking at the top ten children's games we get to our tables.

First up, though, we ask the listeners what gamer they love to play, but the more they play it, the worse they do.
