Howdy folks, Tom Vasel here, and welcome to the Fifth Annual Dice Tower Retreat!
Have you ever wanted to just GAME for hours on end with a bunch of other dedicated, fantastic gamers? Then this is the place for you!
The Dice Tower Retreat will be held from Monday, Sept. 4th to Sunday, Sept. 10th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center, which is located 1 mile from Miami International Airport.

About the Hotel
The smoke-free hotel is located near the southwest corner of the Miami International Airport.
It has a beautiful lobby, swimming pool, an amazing ballroom and a connecting mall. Also, warm chocolate chip cookies can be requested at check-in!
Hotel Rooms
The rate for a standard double-bed/king-bed room is $139/night plus tax, and this rate is good for 3 days pre-con, and 3 days post-con. To get this special rate, you must reserve your room through the hotel link below and your reservation must be for at least 2 nights. It is possible to book a reservation for just 1 night, but you will be charged a higher rate that is set by the hotel. Rates are based on single/double occupancy and additional adults (up to 4 in a room) will be charged $15.00 per day per person plus tax. A valid credit card is required to guarantee the reservation. Check-in time is 4PM and check-out time is 12PM. Rooms do not come with refrigerators or microwaves, but these can be requested during the booking process or at check-in.
If you want to upgrade to a deluxe room or suite, you will need to contact the hotel with group code DTW by phone directly at 305-261-3800 or toll free at 1-888-353-1995, by faxing your reservation form at 305-260-8900 or by email at miama_res@hilton.com.
Badges
The badge price is $175 plus Tabletop.Event fees and badges are limited to adults only age 18 and over. You can buy up to 2 badges in a single purchase. Once badges sell out, we will be maintaining a waitlist and for more information about that, please see the section below.
OUR REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY ON BADGES
These transfer and refund policies are for badges purchased for Dice Tower Retreat 2023 on Tabletop.Events (TTE).
TRANSFERS
If you were unable to purchase a ticket before the event sold out, you can request to be put on a waitlist by sending an email to tom@dicetower.com. Requests will be handled on a first-come/first-available basis and we will notify you when a ticket becomes available.
If you buy a ticket and then are unable to come, send an email to tom@dicetower.com so that we can put you in touch with someone needing to register. Money exchanges will be handled and managed by the individual parties and the Dice Tower will have no involvement in the transaction. Once money has changed hands, you can transfer your ticket in TTE to the other party by following these instructions. Requests will be handled on a first-come/first-available basis.
REFUNDS
PLEASE NOTE: Before you apply for a refund, please send an email to dte@dicetower.com to find out if we are still managing a waitlist. If we aren't at the time you contact us, you can refund your ticket on TTE and you will be reimbursed as follows:
Before May 1, 2023 - Badges can be refunded at the full amount less TTE fees and you can trigger the refund directly from your TTE account.
After May 1, 2023 - Badges can be refunded at 50%, less TTE fees and you can trigger the refund directly from your TTE account.
After July 1, 2023 - badges will be non-refundable, and you’ll need to contact us at dte@dicetower.com to let us know that you won’t be coming to the Retreat.
TTE will automatically add badges back into the pool with each refund processed, making it available for someone else to purchase. With refunds, badges can become available at any time.
Transportation
For those flying to DTR, the DoubleTree offers complimentary airport shuttle service and more information can be found by clicking on this link. Shuttles run from 6 am to 10:30 pm every half hour and pick up at the designated locations in the link, depending on which terminal you arrive in. Just look for the white van with the chocolate chip cookie on the side. If the shuttle isn't coming on schedule, you can call the hotel's main number at 305-261-3800 and request a pick-up.
If you are arriving outside of these hours, you will have to arrange for your own transportation to the DoubleTree.
Hotel Parking
If you are driving to DTR, the parking company that operates the lot across the street from the DoubleTree is offering our group 4-, 5- and 6-day parking passes for $35, $45 and $55, respectively. All passes include unlimited in-and-out privileges and can be purchased by both hotel guests and those driving to the convention. The daily rate is $10/day and if you need additional days, they can be added to your passes.
Those of you not staying at the hotel can pay a reduced rate of $7 to park, however this rate is PER ENTRANCE to the lot and DOES NOT include in-and-out privileges.
To take advantage of these parking passes and reduced rates, tell the parking attendant that you are with the Dice Tower Retreat and which parking option you would like.
Unfortunately, there is no free parking at the hotel -- sorry!
