In this show, Tom and Eric take a look at Star Wars: Imperial Assault, Doodle City, Kanban, Essen, Pandemic the Cure, and the upcomin Magic: the Gathering Board Game.  We also discuss the Essen Spiel 2014 in depth, and then end the show with our favorite traits in a gaming opponent.

In this show, we take a look at Uncanny X-men: Dicemasters!, Rococo, Medina, Subdivision, and Snapgammon. Geoff and Brian take a look at older games, we get some more legal advice, and answer a few questions. We finish up the show with a list of things we are looking for in a Kickstarter campaign/game.

In this episode, Eric is on vacation, so Tom is joined by Zee Garcia. We spend the show joined by contributors, talking about some of the games coming out at Essen Spiel, and the different games and expansions that we are most interested in.

In this show, we talk about King’s Forge, Villainy, Johari, Cartoon Network Fluxx, and Dungeon Roll. Someone compares Munchkin to Cosmic Encounter, we discuss how to deal with controversial themes, and table etiquette. Finally, we almost fall asleep at the end talking about our top ten most boring games!

TDT # 374 - A Horn, CosmicCon, and Catan

In this episode, we take a look at the new Wok Star, Vivajava the Dice Game, Impulse, Bucket King 3D, Star Realms, Warhammer 40K Conquest, and Good Cop Bad Cop. Eric tells an extremely sad hotel story, we hear another tale of horror, and Tom talks about both CosmicCon and the Fantasy Flight Event Center. Finally, we end with Eric interviewing Stu Paul, director of the short film The Lord of Catan.

In this episode, we look at Greed, Madame Ching, Rise of Empires, Ninja Dice, Athlas, and Games that Tell Stories. We talk about preparing for Essen, using cell phones during games, and what to do when elminated from a game. Finally, we talk about our top ten favorite ways to resolve conflict in games. (In the game, not between players!)

In this show, we look at the games Legendary Encounters, Level 7 Invasion, Diamonds, The Battle of Five Armies, Tragedy Looper, Battle Merchants, Star Realms IOS and Magnum Opus.  Geoff talks about game flow, Bill talks about running a convention for profit, and Brian takes a look back at Frank's Zoo. We also talk about our favorie companion apps for board games. Finally, we end the episode with a spoiler-heavy look at Risk: Legacy. The first 51 minutes of the show are spoiler free.

We cringe at another tale of horror, and talk about our Essen plans, math trades, how to get a game published, and using timers during games. We end the show with our top ten Milton Bradley games!

In this episode, we return to our normal schedule. We look at several games, including City Hall, Dead of Winter, Pandemic: Contageon, Cosmic Dominion, Villainous Vikings, Worker Placement, Plucky Pilots, and Golem Arcana. Brian discusses Medici, Greg visits another store, Geoff talks about those who hate to think, we get more legal advice, hear another tale of horror, and discuss some hot news. Finally, we end the show asking what game released at GenCon are we most interested in, and why.

TDT # 369 - Post Gen Con 2014 Report

In this show, Eric and Tom take a look back at the GenCon 2014 fair held in Indianapolis. But we also spend a lot of time talking about games - including Black Fleet, Camel Up, Diamonds, Quilt Show, Castls of the Mad King Ludwig, King of New York, Kingsport: Festival, and Tragedy Looper. We end the show taking a pile of listener questions and giving hopefully decent answers to them!
